Insta360 Diving Update: 3 Exciting New Features to Enhance Your Underwater Videos

Making underwater videos with Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and X5 just got even better with the new Diving Update!

Available in the latest versions of the Insta360 app and Studio, this new update includes 3 new features that will take your underwater footage to the next level.

Underwater Mode

The all-new version of Underwater Mode for Insta360 Ace Pro 2 optimizes the color and stabilization of your footage, and also corrects the distortion caused by light refraction at the edge of the frame. With just a tap, you automatically get clearer, more natural-looking footage of the undersea world. Just make sure you have firmware v1.2.11 first!

AquaVision 3.0

Now that you have your stunning underwater footage, activate AquaVision 3.0 in the Insta360 app or Studio to unlock even more vibrant colors. First, upload your clip, then in the Editor, select Edit and Color. In this menu, choose AquaVision 3.0, and our AI algorithm will analyze your footage, providing you with 4 color profiles that will allow you to select the best temperature and saturation level. It's compatible with footage from Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and X5, so you can get the perfect shot in both flat and 360 formats.

Diving Stats Dashboard

You can already track your cycling with Strava, and now you can track your dives with Suunto*! Simply pair your account, and you'll be able to sync all your dive stats directly from your watch to your video with an exclusive stats dashboard. With metrics for depth, duration, and water temperature, you can show off all your data in your clip—there's even a toggleable Suunto watermark for extra authenticity.
