The Insta360 Outdoor Adventure Challenge has come to a close, and it was nothing short of epic shots, creativity, and a passion for adventure. Over the past 10 weeks, we've been blown away by almost 8,000 submissions from talented creators across 133 countries, all hoping to get a share of US$35,000.
But this challenge was about more than epic shots and cash prizes—it was about making an impact. At Insta360, we believe in the power of storytelling to drive real change through the unique lens of our cameras. A special Earth Month edition in the second round of the challenge helped raise awareness and protect our natural world with a donation to NGO Sungai Watch.
Earth Month Donation
A call to celebrate and protect our planet garnered over 3,000 submissions in the challenge's second round, all of which contributed to real-world change. Insta360 donated $1 for every submission to Sungai Watch to fund a river barrier, set to be installed in Umalas Kangin, Bali.
Situated near Seminyak's iconic beaches, the barrier will help protect the local ecosystem by stopping plastic waste from flowing into the ocean for an entire year, supporting both the environment and the communities, so we can all continue enjoying the adventures it inspires.

After a short walk to reach the summit, Alexis Dumas filmed the perfect line at Chamonix, which he describes as having "the most beautiful view in the world" with the freshest snow.

Florian Casassa showcases an exhilarating speedride deep in the crack formed thousands of years ago from the Glaciers in Switzerland at 3000 meters. Strap in for this one: he reaches over 100km/h!

Sit back and enjoy the views of Ischgl as Ryan McElmon carves his way down the Austrian mountain, which he describes as the "perfect bluebird pow day with the local legends".

Winner 4: Jonathan Penfield (@jonnpow)
Video Title: Extreme steep snowboarding
Inspired by FPV drone footage, but nauseated by all the turning, Jonathan Penfield sought a better way to capture a perfectly steady, but otherwise impossible, follow shot down a super steep powder run. The solution was fairly simple: Insta360 X3 and the 3-meter Extended Edition Selfie Stick. This posed its own risks, however, with trying to ride challenging terrain while keeping the camera positioned properly and not crashing.
"Slopes this steep will have sluff avalanches following behind you, so if the camera is dropped, it would likely be lost under the snow and claimed by the glacier below." All worth it for an epic shot like this, though!

Video Title: Slacklining over a Crevasse
Brace yourselves! Sylvan Christensen demonstrates the meaning of "brave" as he slacklines over a crevasse on the Matanuska Glacier in Alaska... did we mention it's rigged on ice screws? Not for the faint-hearted, but it makes for some wild footage.
