ND Filters for Extreme Lighting

For the first time, Insta360 has released ND Filters for X5. These filters expertly tackle bright lighting, cut glare, and enhance cinematic motion blur, all of which were essential in near-space conditions, where sunlight is 30% brighter and exposure levels are drastically more challenging.

In less extreme conditions, the ND Filters satisfy creative demands by enabling longer exposures to capture light trails, night scenes, dramatic motion effects, and much more. The X5 auto-detects your chosen ND Filter (ND16/ND32/ND64) to match different lighting scenarios and to provide more accurate colors for seamless post-processing.

Space-Friendly Durability

As an action camera, X5 needs to be durable and cope well in stressful conditions, which is exactly what Sent Into Space has confirmed.

During the spaceflight, X5 was subject to freezing temperatures as low as -68°F, with no air to cool internal systems, and blistering sunlight. Insta360's flagship camera performed flawlessly, recording throughout the entire process, proving its exceptional reliability and durability.

In addition, X5 is 100% more drop-resistant than its predecessor (X4), with an improved ultra-hard optical film covering the lenses to protect them from scratches.
