Arashi Vision Inc. and its affiliates (collectively the “Insta360”, “us” “our” or “we”) understand the importance of your privacy to you and will respect your privacy. The Insta360 Privacy Policy ("this Policy") describes how we might collect, store, us, and/or share personal information when you interact with us. The Policy applies to the products and services that we provide and the extensions thereof, including various products and services that we provide to you through our mobile application, official website, and new forms emerging with technology ("our Platform"). If a separate privacy policy or user service agreement exists for a specific product or service, the privacy policy or user service agreement for that product or service will prevail. If the privacy policy or user service agreement for the product or service is not covered by such product or service, this Policy shall prevail. If one of our affiliated companies uses the products or services provided by us in their products or services but does not set up a separate privacy policy, this Policy shall also apply to such products or services. Unless otherwise agreed, the terms used in this Policy shall have the same meaning as those defined in the Insta360 User Service Agreement.
Please note that the Policy does not apply to information collected through other means, such as offline channels or any other website operated by the company or any third parties. Additionally, any third-party application or content (including advertisements) that may link to or be accessible from this website is not covered by this Policy. This policy is not intended to override the terms of any contact you have with us, not any rights you may have under other applicable data privacy laws. Personal information is all kinds of information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, recorded electronically or by other means, excluding information that has been anonymized. Please note that the definition of "personal information" (or "personal data" and other similar expressions) may vary from country to country or region to region, so please refer to the laws and regulations related to the protection of personal information in your region.
We will collect certain information from you to enable account registration and subsequence account login. When you create an account and log in to our Platform, we collect certain information to facilitate your registration and subsequent access. Depending on your chosen login method, this may include:
• Login credentials, such as your email address and password or phone number;
• A login token if you choose to sign in through a third-party account.
If you choose to login using a third-party account such as WeChat, Facebook, Apple, Google, or other supported platforms, we will collect limited account information from the third-party provider. This may include your public profile details such as your profile photo, display name, and any other information you authorize the provider to share with us. This information is used to create and access your account on our Platform, enabling you to seamlessly register, log in, and use our services. We do not access your third-party account credentials (such as your password), and your use of third-party login options is subject to the respective provider’s privacy policies and terms of service.
After registering your account, you can choose to provide your nickname, picture, gender, date of birth, location, profile description, background picture. If you refuse to provide the above information, it will not affect your use of our Platform to register an account.
Online Shopping
When you choose to shop in our Online Stores, we need to collect your name, phone number, address, bank card information (if you choose to pay by credit card), invoice information (if you choose to invoice) to process the transaction. Additionally, if you choose to shop in “Guest Mode”, we will also need to collect your email address.
Diamond Top-up
“Diamond” is our virtual currency that can be used across all Insta360 platforms. You can purchase and top-up diamonds on the Insta360 App. We will collect your account information, payment information and transaction details to facilitate the top-up.
Official Store Reviews
When you choose to upload a consumer review on our Official Store, please note that your nickname will not be anonymized or de-identified, so if you are reviewing under your real name, we may need to collect your name.
When you contact us through our Platform, by email, via our App, or in any written form, in order to resolve your issue, we need to collect a record of the communication between you and customer service. We will also use the information we collect and use your account information, order information, contents of the communication between you and us, and any other reviews or feedback you provide to facilitate communications with you and to respond to your inquiries.
Our App allows you to record videos using the bound device and live stream on supported platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, RTMP, douyin and Kwai Live. To initiate a live stream, you will need to select the live streaming platform to be used, complete the account login and authentication process, and link that account with your Insta360 account. We will collect information from these platforms, such as your username, login tokens, and profile picture, for the purpose of linking accounts and enabling live streaming functionalities.
The live streaming video will be recorded through our App but your interactions with viewers (such as comments or reactions) remain on the respective third-party platform and are not synchronized with or stored by our platform. Please note that your use of these third-party platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We strongly encourage you to review those policies to understand how your personal data may be collected, processed, and shared by those platforms.
Purchase of Insta360Care & Extended Warranty
When you need to purchase or activate Insta360Care or extended warranty service, we need to collect your product serial number, product purchase information, Insta360Care card number, password and agreement number to match it with your purchase.
After-sales service
When you apply for after-sales service, in order to match you with the nearest repairer and more accurately determine the problem and provide repair service, we need to collect your location, product serial number, product purchase information, problem description, Insta360 Care agreement number (if you have purchased Insta360 Care), Insta360 extended warranty agreement number (if you have purchased Insta360 Extended Warranty), pickup and delivery address. If you apply for our Online Repair service, we need to collect your name, phone number, email address, return address, product serial number, fault condition, date of purchase of product, etc.
We offer a cloud storage service available by subscription, allowing you to back up your videos, use cloud-based editing and export features, share content via the cloud, and access playback functionalities. When you subscribe to Insta360+, we will collect and process the following information:
• Account and Order Information: We collect your account credentials and order details to verify your subscription, associate your purchase with your account, manage your subscription package, determine any applicable warranty rights, provide you with the requested services, and communicate with you when necessary.
• Video Content: If your device model supports automatic backup functions (such as the A3 and A4 models) and you have enabled this feature, your video content will be automatically uploaded to the cloud. This upload is solely for your personal storage and use. We do not access, view, or use your video content for any other purpose unless we obtain your explicit consent or are otherwise legally required to do so.
• Browsing and Editing Records: When you browse, edit, export, or share content stored in the cloud through the App or Studio, we collect operational metadata related to your activity. This metadata may include file names, upload timestamps, editing history, and related interaction logs. This information is used to support content synchronization, update service status, ensure service continuity, and assist in restoring previous operations if needed.
• Cloud Storage Management: If you cancel your Insta360+ subscription, we will retain your cloud-stored content for a grace period of 60 days following the subscription expiration date. During this period, you may still access and export your stored data. After the 60-day period, all remaining cloud content will be permanently deleted and will not be recoverable. We strongly encourage you to back up or export any necessary content before your subscription expires.

AI Voice Assistant. When you enable and use the AI Voice Assistant feature, we need to collect your voice information and transmit it to the cloud in order to understand your voice commands and respond to your requests. To provide the above functions, we may transmit your voice information, conversation content, and other information necessary for the provision of relevant services to relevant service providers for processing. To provide more accurate services, we will also collect your geolocation information; we will only collect and upload your precise geolocation information when you use services that are closely related to precise location. Your interaction information with the AI Voice Assistant may be viewed in the conversation history within the App.
Ask with Photo. When you enable and use the Ask with Photo, the device will automatically capture the current scene each time you speak. Where necessary, we may upload images, voice information, and related question content to the cloud in order to understand and respond to your requests. For images that do not need to be retained, we will delete them immediately after processing is completed. The content generated through Image-Based Q&A is analyzed and generated solely based on the voice and visual information you provide, and may contain deviations or inaccuracies. Such content is for reference only and does not constitute professional advice or any guarantee of facts.
Voiceprint Recognition. When you enable and use the Voiceprint Recognition feature, we need to collect your voice information as you read specified text and extract voiceprint features as the basis for identifying you. Your voice information and voiceprint features are used only for identity recognition within the AI Voice Assistant feature and will not be associated with any other real-name identity information. Your voiceprint features are stored only locally on the device and will not be uploaded to the cloud. Your voiceprint will be retained until you delete the data for this feature or uninstall the application; you may also delete your voiceprint from the device at any time.
Please note that if the content you provide contains information about other individuals, you must inform them of the contents of this Privacy Policy and obtain their consent, or otherwise satisfy all necessary legal requirements, before providing such content.
This feature is supported by AI capabilities provided by【Gemini】. Content generated by the AI Voice Assistant is produced by an artificial intelligence model. Due to factors such as the current state of technological development, model capabilities, the completeness of input information, and the mechanisms of AI-generated content, we cannot guarantee the authenticity, accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or timeliness of the output content. Such output is for reference only and does not constitute any express or implied advice, commitment, guarantee, or professional opinion. For content involving medical, legal, financial, investment, safety, travel, or other significant matters, you should exercise caution and independently consult or verify with relevant professionals. In addition, the large model service providers relied upon by this feature, as well as the specific model capabilities, may be subject to change in the future due to business needs, technological developments, or partnership arrangements. The relevant output content shall be subject to the services actually provided.
You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and deciding whether to rely on any AI-generated output, and that any risks, losses, liabilities, or other consequences arising from your reliance on, use of, or decisions based on such output shall be borne by you. You shall use this feature lawfully, compliantly, and prudently, and shall not use this feature to generate, disseminate, store, or publish any unlawful, non-compliant, false, harmful, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate content. If your use results in any legal liability, dispute, loss, or third-party claim, you shall be solely responsible.
We will make reasonable efforts to continuously improve the model capabilities and content safety mechanisms, and will endeavor to identify and filter inappropriate or harmful content. However, due to technical limitations, network conditions, and the characteristics of the model, we cannot guarantee that the relevant services will always be continuous, stable, secure, error-free, or fully meet your expectations, nor can we guarantee that all risks can be foreseen, identified, or prevented. AI-generated content does not represent our attitudes, views, or positions. If you find that any related output contains errors, infringes rights, violates laws or regulations, or causes discomfort, you may provide feedback to us at service@insta360.com. We will handle such feedback and continue to improve the service in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and platform rules.
When you need to report bugs and provide suggestions to us, in order to contact you, we need to collect information about the problem you need to give feedback on (such as product category, problem type, recurrence steps, recurrence probability, whether you can recover it, etc.) and your name, phone number or email address.
When you choose to participate in the activities held by us or subscribe to our event information, in order to timely push the event information to you or get in touch with you, we will collect your name, phone number or email address, home address, survey content, etc. on the basis of your consent, you can unsubscribe by contacting us.
When you apply to become an affiliate, we collect certain information from you to process the application, match you with suitable promotional activities, and communicate with you. Data we collect include your name, phone number, email address, location, business information (company name and position), method of access to affiliate program, and promotion strategies. If your affiliation generates commissions, we will also collect financial information to facilitate commission payouts. The information we require vary depending on the payment method you choose:

When you access our platforms, we automatically collect technical data including your Media Access Control (MAC) address, GPS address, screen resolution, operating system and its version, device manufacturer and its model, language, Internet browser and its version, the name of the software you are using and its version and the time it was taken.
Our App request the permission to access certain information from your mobile device that are necessary for the provision of our Services.
• Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: these permissions are necessary for connecting and binding Insta360 devices to the App. Blocking these permissions would impair the functions of the devices.
• Photo album: the App would require access to your mobile device’s photo gallery to enable downloading or exporting files from and to the album, as well as to access photos and video for in-app editing and management purposes.
• Audio files: the App may need to access your audio files to enable editing and management purposes.
• Location: the App requires location permission to search for nearby devices. You may also opt to allow Insta360 to access your location information for the purpose of enabling location-based functions and services.
• Push notification: the App seeks your permission to display push notifications on your mobile device, which will be used to notify you about the status of your devise, as well as news or updates on our App and services.
Logs
We need to collect information such as Log files generated when you use our products and services. The log files include device and other technical information. You may also choose to upload log files to help us identify the issue. We may use the information for security purposes, including identity verification, detection and prevention of security incidents, and take necessary recording, auditing, analysis and handling measures according to the law to better prevent security risks such as website phishing, fraud, network loopholes, computer virus, network attack, network intrusion and other security risks and to more accurately identify actions in violation of laws and regulations or the relevant product or service agreements. We may combine information we obtain about you for the purposes described above. We may also use the information we obtain for other purposes for which we provide specific notice at the time of collection or otherwise with consent.
Traffic
For security purposes, we collect may collect URL access records (e.g. device terminal type, device terminal screen resolution, device network operator, etc.), user behavior data, and device data. We may record URLs that we consider risky.
Video-recording specs
When you bind your device to the App, you may control the camera’s settings, adjust specifications, and start recording in the App’s video-recording interface. When enabled, the App will collect information related to your video recordings.
GPS Activity
Our App offers an optional “GPS activity feature”, which generates activity statistics that can be overlaid onto your videos using our in-app editing tools. If you choose to enable this feature, we will collect information including the total duration of activity, distance traveled, inclination, altitude, vertical speed, and acceleration. You may disable this feature at any time in the settings.
Tutorials
Insta360’s App offers tutorials on how to use our products and other useful tips on video recording. If you save, like, or download these tutorials, we will record your saved tutorial history to enhance your user experience.
AI Warp
Our app offers “AI Warp” – an AI-powered video editing function. If you enable this feature, the selected video clips will be uploaded to our servers for AI analysis. The processed data will be used to generate the AI-edited video, which will then be made available to you through the App. This feature is entirely optional, and we will obtain your explicit consent before processing your videos for this purpose.
Auto Edit
When you use our “Auto Edit” service, in order to provide intelligent understanding and generation services based on cloud-based large models, such as scene matching, content understanding, or text generation, we need to upload the image, video, or audio information contained in the materials you select (or image frames/key clips extracted therefrom) to our cloud servers. Our algorithms will analyze the uploaded materials for scene tagging, feature analysis, or content recognition in order to provide the relevant service.
Such processing is carried out solely for the purpose of providing this feature. It is not intended or used to identify any specific individual, nor will it be used for any other purpose without your authorization. We process the relevant information only to the extent and for the duration necessary to provide the service, and we will delete it upon completion of processing without retention. The relevant information will not be used to train or improve artificial intelligence models or algorithms.
Image Matting
Upon your use of our "AI Image Matting" service, we may upload the images explicitly selected by you to our servers for processing, for the purposes of subject recognition, background separation, and result generation. During such processing, we will conduct image feature analysis on the uploaded images to fulfill the service. The processing described above is conducted solely for the purpose of providing the AI Image Matting functionality. It is not intended or used to identify any specific natural person, nor shall it be used for any other purposes without your prior authorization. We process the relevant image information strictly within the necessary scope and retention period required to provide the service. Upon completion of the processing, we will permanently delete the relevant image information without any retention. Under no circumstances will the aforementioned information be used for the training or improvement of artificial intelligence models or algorithms.
When you purchase our goods and services using payment methods supported by third-party platforms, such as PayPal or Apple Pay, out platform will redirect your request to the selection provider. Once the transaction is completed, we will collect the relevant transaction records and details from these third parties to process your order.
We may disclose or share your information with third-party service providers that support the provision of our products and services. These may include third-party professional service providers, cloud hosting providers, and customer service providers, who process your personal information on our behalf. We will only share personal information that is necessary for the provision of our products and services. We will also enter into strict confidentiality agreements with the companies, organizations and individuals with whom we share personal information, requiring them to process personal information in accordance with our instructions, this Policy and any other relevant confidentiality and security measures.
Where the sharing of your data is based on consent, you have the right to refuse to consent to the sharing of your personal information with third parties. Please note that if you refuse to consent to the sharing of information with third parties, you may not be able to use the specific corresponding features.

We may transfer your data to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Insta360's asset, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by us may be among the assets transferred.
We may share your personal information in certain circumstances, including:
• To law enforcement authorities, government or public agencies or officials, regulators, and/or any other person or entity with appropriate legal authority or justification for receipt of such information, if required or permitted to do so by law or legal process;
• When we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss, or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual fraudulent or illegal activity;
• When the information is required for the prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences or the execution of criminal penalties, or for the enforcement of civil law claims.
Live streaming
Our App allows you to record videos using the bound device and live stream on supported platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, RTMP, douyin and Kwai Live. Please be aware that your interactions with these platforms will be governed by their respective privacy policies. We suggest you review their policies before posting.
Google API Services
If you connect a YouTube channel, the app creates and manages YouTube Live broadcasts using the following Google API services, and reads live chat messages during your stream.
• Google Sign-In: For secure authentication with your Google account
• YouTube Data API: To access your channel information and manage live streams, and obtain the RTMP ingest URL required for YouTube live streaming.
• YouTube Live Streaming API: To create and manage live broadcasts on your channel,bind broadcasts to live streams,and to control the start and end status of broadcasts in order to support YouTube live streaming from your camera and mobile devices.
By using this app to stream to YouTube, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. You can revoke our APP's access to your YouTube via the Google security settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/connections?filters=3,4&hl=en
Google Street View
Our App offers an optional “GPS activity feature”, which collects information including the total duration of activity, distance traveled, inclination, altitude, vertical speed, and acceleration. While this function is primarily used in our in-app video editing tool, you may choose to upload the information to Google Street View. If you opt to upload your data, please note that Insta360 cannot control how Google processes or uses this information. We encourage you to review Google’s privacy policies before processing with any data upload.
Insta360 Community
Insta360 offers a community feature which designed to foster engagement among users with shared interests. You may upload and share content from your App album or device album to the community. When posting in the community, please review and comply with our Insta360 Community Forum Rules. Please note that any information (including personal information) you upload to the public space of our Platform may be seen, collected, and used by other visitors. You are solely responsible for any personal information you choose to upload.

Right to Access Personal Information

If you wish to access and edit your personal information in your account, you may do so by logging into your account on our website or App and accessing the relevant pages for personal information, changing your password, changing your email address, etc.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal information and you can do so at any time by contacting us at dpocontact@insta360.com and we will respond to your request within 15 business days. Provided that it is technically feasible for us to do so, for example by matching data interfaces, we can also transfer a copy of your personal information directly to the third party you specify at your request.
Right to Rectification of Personal Information
If you discover that we have processed your personal information incorrectly, you have the right to request that we make corrections. You may contact us at any time through the contact information provided on the website or in the App, or send email to dpocontact@insta360.com.
Right to Data Erasure/Deletion
You have the right to request that the Company delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. You may make a request to us to delete personal information in the following cases:

Right to Refuse Automated Decision-Making

Right to Object Processing of Personal Data
You have the right to adjust the scope of the personal information we continue to collect or withdraw your authorization at any time, and when you withdraw such consent or authorization, we will no longer process the corresponding personal information and will not be able to continue to provide you with the services for which you have withdrawn your consent or authorization. Your adjustment of the scope of your authorization will not affect the processing of your personal information by Insta360 based on your consent or authorization prior to the adjustment.
Right to Object to Direct Marketing
You have the right to object to the processing of personal information for direct marketing purposes. You can submit the request by contacting our customer service.
If you have previously subscribed to receive our marketing emails but no longer wish to receive them, you can unsubscribe by replying to the email or by disabling the "Product Promotions" option in App Settings > Notifications to stop receiving push notifications.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where we rely on your consent to process your data, you have the right to withdraw consent you have provided to us at any time, and we will stop further processing. You can always provide your consent to us again at a later time. You can send the request to dpocontact@insta360.com.
Right to Compliant
If you are unable to exercise your rights as described above, or if you believe that Insta360 has violated any laws, administrative regulations, or agreements with you regarding the processing of your personal information, you may contact us through the channels set forth in this Policy.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint to an applicable supervisory authority or other regulators if you are not satisfied with our responses to your requests or how we manage your personal information. “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals
We do not track its Users over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. However, some third- party sites do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you. If you are visiting such sites, your browser may include controls to block and delete cookies, web beacons and similar technologies, to allow you to opt out of data collection through those technologies.

Alternatively, where available, you may enable a universal tool such as the global privacy control ("GPC”) on your browser that automatically communicates your opt-out preferences.

Right to Access Personal Information
You have the right to access your personal information as provided by law and regulation. If you wish to access and edit your personal information in your account, you may do so by logging into your account on our website or App and accessing the relevant pages for personal information, changing your password, changing your email address, etc.
Right to Rectification of Personal Information
If you discover that we have processed your personal information incorrectly, you have the right to request that we make corrections. You may contact us at any time through the contact information provided on the website or in the App, or send email to dpocontact@insta360.com.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal information and you can do so at any time by contacting our customer service and we will respond to your request within 15 business days. Provided that it is technically feasible for us to do so, for example by matching data interfaces, we can also transfer a copy of your personal information directly to the third party you specify at your request.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where we rely on your consent to process your data, you have the right to withdraw consent you have provided to us at any time, and we will stop further processing. You can always provide your consent to us again at a later time. You can submit the request by contacting our customer service.
Do Not Call
If you are a resident of Singapore, you have the right to apply the Do Not Call rules, which means that if you do not wish to receive the telemarketing messages via phone call, SMS or fax, you can register your Singapore telephone numbers with the DNC(Do Not Call) Registry. You can remove your number form the DNC Registry whenever you want.
Right to Compliant
If you are unable to exercise your rights as described above, or if you believe that Insta360 has violated any laws, administrative regulations, or agreements with you regarding the processing of your personal information, you may contact us through the channels set forth in this Policy. You also have the right to lodge a complaint to the Singapore Personal Data Protection Commission if you are not satisfied with our responses to your requests or how we manage your personal information. We define “children” as individuals (i) under the age of 16 residing in the EU/EEA, (ii) anyone under 13 residing in all other regions, or (iii) individuals who qualifies as “children” under the applicable data protection laws of their respective jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Children may not register for an account on our Platform or send us personal information such as their names, address, phone numbers, email address, etc., unless permitted by local law and their guardians have given their consent. We will only use or publicly disclose personal information collected from children with the consent of their guardians as permitted by law, with the consent of the guardian, or as necessary to protect the child. We do not sell or share children’s data under the definition of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its regulations.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without the consent of the child's guardian, we will delete the data as soon as we are aware of it. If you believe that we may improperly hold personal information from or about a child, please contact us.
We will only store your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and for as long as required by law, regulation and supervision, unless there is a mandatory retention requirement by law. If we terminate the service or operation, we will promptly stop the activities of continuing to collect your personal information, and, unless otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations, delete or anonymize your personal information. When you contact our customer service to cancel, we will complete your request within 15 business days; after canceling your account, we will stop providing you with products or services and delete your personal information upon your request, except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations.
