To learn about video setting of Insta360 Pro:
  1. 1.General (basic video settings):
  • Mode (video shooting mode)
    • Normal
    • High FPS (High frame rate model, it is achieved through Binning technology, so the quality of the video is slightly inferior to that from ordinary shooting)
    • Timelapse (delay shooting)
  • Content Type:
    • 360° Pano
    • 360° 3D
  • Real-time Stitching (a real-time splicing option, if it is activated, the user needs to select the video storage resolution for real-time stitching videos)
  • Save origins from six lenses(an option for storage of the original videos from the six lenses)
  • Single lens resolution(after the option for storage of original video is activated, you can select the maximum video resolution recorded for each shot)
  • Flat color mode (a color mode with larger subsequent space, similar to the Log function)
2. Exposure settings:
  • Mode:
    • Auto exposure
    • Manual exposure
    • Isolated exposure
  • EV and white balance may be adjusted in the auto exposure mode
  • ISO and Shutter may be adjusted in the manual exposure mode

  • Saturation:0 to 255
  • Sharpness:3 to 6
  • Constrast:0 to 255
5. Summary of video functions:
    • For shooting 360 ° Pano / 3D normal videos, set Mode as Normal, select Content Type to determine whether to activate real-time splicing.
    • If real-time splicing is activated, then the maximum resolution of videos in the real-time splicing format cannot exceed 4K. However, if Content Type is selected as 360 ° 3D at this time, each original film can store the video with resolution of 1920x1440, which may be subsequently made into the 3D composite video with resolution of 3840x3840. If Content Type is selected as 360 ° Pano at this time, then each channel can store the original video with resolution of 2560x1440, which may be subsequently composited into normal Pano video with resolution of 5120x2560 via Stitcher.
    • If the real-time splicing is disabled, and Content Type is selected as 360 ° 3D, then each original film can store the video with resolution of 3200x2400, which may be subsequently composited into 6k 3D video with resolution of 6400x6400. If Content Type is selected as 360 ° Pano, at this time, then each original film can store the video with resolution of 3840x2160, which may be subsequently composited into 8K normal Pano video with resolution of 7680x3840.
    • For shooting High FPS vides, it is achieved through Binning technology, so the quality of video is slightly inferior to that from normal shooting. This mode is suitable for shooting high-speed moving scenes or those that require adjustment of playing speed. In case Content Type is selected as 360°3D,each original film can store the video with resolution of 1920x1440@60fps, which may be composited into 3D videos with resolution of 3840x3840@60fps via Stitcher. If Content Type is selected as 360°Pano,each original film can store the video with resolution of 1920x1440@60fps, which may be composited into 3D video with resolution of 3840x3840@60fps via Stitcher.
    • Note that the interval must be set as more than 2s, and the interval time should be at least 1s longer than the Shutter time. For example, if the set interval is 2s, then that of the Shutter can be set to 1s at a minimum.
    • Flat color mode (a color mode with larger subsequent space, similar to the Log function. The user can import the material into the subsequent software for adjustment of more details of the screen)
    • For setting of exposure parameters, Auto / Manual is globally-unified Auto/ Manual exposure. If Isolated Exposure is selected, then the six lenses will respectively perform auto isolated exposure. Isolated exposure is suitable for shooting the scenes with a large brightness-darkness gap, such as shooting sunny window and indoor, or a concert with bright stage but dark auditorium.
    • The user may use the Save button in the lower right corner to save the General setting of the mode into the camera's Customize. This operation is equivalent to generating a two-dimensional code of the corresponding pattern, which enables the camera to recognize the saved parameters by scanning such two-dimensional code.
